Badlands Pictures 2

The badlands throw eerie shadows and the colors of the formations change dramatically with the mood of mother nature.

The Hoodoo trail leads 25 kilometers (15 miles) southeast of Drumheller on highway 10 pas Badlands terrain to the communities that blossomed during Alberta's mining heydays.  Along the way you will find the natural rock formations called "hoodoos"; hard rock caps act as umbrellas, protecting the the softer sandstone beneath.

The area around the hoodoos and in the valley is home the World's richest, most accessible dinosaur finds and to the most astounding "Royal Tyrrell Dinosaur Museum".
