As recently as the 1950's glacial ice covered the area where
you are now standing. As the ice retreated it left a barren
wasteland. But alas Mother Nature is relentless in her
transformation of nothing to the wonders of the planet.
Flowers grow, trees are sprouting, mountain goats, sheep and
even an occasional bear are seen here now. Meadows blossom with
arnica, indian paintbrush (red), golden fleabane heather and
others.
