Edmonton & Area
The Provincial Museum of Alberta
The premiere museum in Alberta. Featuring an astounding
collection of metals, rocks and gems from around the world, a
huge display of birds, their eggs and their sounds, massive dioramas
of Alberta's wildlife, large native studies wing and an ever changing
roster of World exhibits. The brand new Wild Alberta Gallery is

Fort Edmonton Park
Largest of its kind. Features the growth of Edmonton
from 1846 to 1920. The wooden Fort itself is huge and is a fascinating
peak into life as a pioneer. Cosutmed actors, working full size
steam train, antique cars to ride, horse and wagons all bring

Odyssium (Space and Sciences Center)
This center is magnificent. Theyhave fun and learning
down to an art with numerous hands on exhibits, The Body Fantastic,

Muttart Conservatory
Features 4 glass pyramids, each featuring the botanical treasures
of of a distinctive climate of the World. Steaming jungle, desert
landscape and temperate forest are popular with a fourth pavilion

John Janzen Nature Center
Family oriented nature center teaching the natural history of
the mighty North Saskatchewan River Valley 780-496-8787
Edmonton Aviation Museum
Features bush planes flown by the most famous of all, jet fighters
and many historic exhibits. Occasionally exhibit special planes
such as Heinkel WWII German Bomber and B29 US Bomber etc. Central

Devonian Gardens (University
of Alberta Facility)
Beautiful grounds and 80 acres of gardens make this a delighful
afternoon. Ring the bell at Kurimoto Japanese Garden and step
inside the butterfly house. West of Edmonton on hwy #60. 780-987-3054
Reynolds Car and Air Museum International
facility interprets the history of ground and air transportation,
agriculture and selected industries. The exhibition hall features
over 100 major artifacts, AV presentations, interpretor-led programs,
guided tours. The museum is also home to Canada's "Aviation
Hall of Fame". Look at vintage aircraft. Open year round.
Located 2 miles west of Wetaskiwin south of Edmonton on highway
13.

Cowboys and Bandits
A great living history featuring nostalgic steam
train ride, colorful actors in costumes musicians on a round trip
steam engine ride from Stettle (south of Edmonton) to Big Valley.
