Continue further South on the Icefields Parkway.
Admire the mountain peaks named after early explorers, nurses and wild adventurers
| Stop in at another of those
breathtaking glacier lakes... Peyto Lake 40 kilometers north of Lake Louise (26 miles) you find astounding Peyto Lake. It's milky blue color is unique and will change with the seasons and time of day. A 10 minute uphill drive from the Icefields Parkway is an easy drive and you'll want to park on the lower level parking lot as the upper is reserved for motor coaches. If you happen to share the viewpoints with tourists from Asia and Europe prepare yourself for the gasps and accolades as visitors are never disappointed with the spectacle. Bow Summit nearby is the highest point on the Icefields Parkway. |
